Good Samaritan Killed In Hit-Run While Assisting Disabled Car: Philly PD A 24-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run on Sunday night, Nov. 12, while he was stopped to help another driver, according to Philadelphia police.  It happened on the 4800 block of Whitaker Avenue around 6 p.m., the department said. Ezequiel Morales was walking back to his car when he was hit by a white van that fled the scene.  Morales was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead just before 6:30 p.m., police said.  NBC10 Philadelphia reported that the van was later found abandoned nearby.  The crash remains under investigation, said PPD.&…

Tractor-Trailer Carrying 500+ Pigs Overturns On Highway: PennDOT Hundreds of pigs are being rounded up on a Pennsylvania highway on Tuesday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler.  The tractor-trailer that was hauling over 500 pigs overturned along 641 near Ridge Road in North Newton Township, around 1 p.m. on Nov. 7, Schreffler explained.  "Some little piggies have made a run for freedom, but are being rounded up. Three-Car Crash Detours Traffic In Lehigh Valley State police are responding to the scene of a three-vehicle wreck in Lower Macungie on Tuesday morning, Nov. 7.  It happened at the intersection of Lower Macungie Road and Cedar Crest Boulevard, troopers said in a statement around 8:20 a.m. Fire and EMS units also responded to the scene.  Traffic was briefly detoured to Riverbend Road while crews worked the scene, and the road was cleared by 9:45 a.m., authorities said.  Police have not said if anyone was hurt in the crash.  This is a developing story. Fatal Motorcycle Pursuit-Crash Closes Route 30: PSP (Update) A motorcyclist crashed and died during a pursuit with Pennsylvania State Police in Chester County overnight, the agency said. Troopers began pursuing the motorcycle around 1:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, eastbound on the US 30 bypass when the 31-year-old motorcyclist got off the limited access highway at a high rate of speed, PSP Trooper James Grothey said. The motorcyclist lost control and struck the northbound metal guardrail on State Route 113, where he died. The incident remains under investigation. Morgantown area drivers were asked to avoid Quarry Road Thursday afternoon while crews worked to address a sewer line break, Caernarvon Township officials said.  The street was shut down from Morgan Way to Morgantown Road as of from about 3:30 to just before 4:30 p.m. The sewer blockage was cleared and Quarry Road has since reopened, said Caernarvon Police Chief Paul Stolz.

Elderly PA Couple Killed In Crash, Coroner Says A husband and wife are following an accident in Sellersville, according to the Bucks County Coroner's Office.  Authorities said it happened on Ridge Road on Saturday, Oct. 7.  John Christian, 71, of Montgomery County, was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
