87-Year-Old Punched In Head In Center City, Philadelphia Police Say
City police are looking for a suspect in the assault of an 87-year-old man in Philadelphia. Authorities said the victim was trying to enter a building on the 1000 block of Arch Street in Center City around 3 p.m. on April 24. When he asked the suspect to move out of his way, police said the suspect punched him. Investigators said the suspect may be in his teens and was wearing a dark New Balance T-shirt with dark pants and gray sneakers. Royersford Police Seek Dump Truck In Hit-Run Investigation
Authorities are looking for the driver of a dump truck who they say was "potentially involved in a hit-and-run" on Thursday, May 9. Royersford police said the vehicle is an orange tri-axle dump truck pulling an over-axle trailer. Police investigators in Philadelphia are looking for the suspect in a gunpoint robbery. Authorities said a gunman approached a pedestrian from behind on the 1700 block of Brown Street late on April 24. He took the victim's belongings and fled north on 17th Street, according to police. Driver Wanted For Kennett Square Hit-Run, Police Say
Kennett Square police are searching for a driver who they said fled the scene of an accident on Thursday, May 9. A man in a white Chrysler 200 pulled onto Center Street from Scarlett Alley and struck another car after running the stop sign on West Cypress Street, according to authorities. He "pulled over and briefly interacted with the other vehicle" before leaving the scene, police said. Investigators believe he fled south on Center Street and then turned east on Magnolia Street. City police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured, including a 10-year-old girl, according to officials. Authorities said gunfire rang out at West Passyunk Avenue and South 61st Street around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night. A Pottsville man has died after a crash in Bethel Township on Tuesday, May 7, state police say. William J. Lecher, 56, was headed north on Route 183 when he lost control near the Appalachian Trail, troopers said in a release.
