Man Stabbed On Worcester Sidewalk, Police Searching For Suspect A man was hospitalized on Thursday, May 2, after being stabbed on a sidewalk in Worcester, police said.  A Worcester officer was flagged down just after 3:30 p.m. in the area of lower Chandler Street to a report of assault with a dangerous weapon. The victim was found sprawled out on the sidewalk and bleeding from his wound.  The officer provided medical aid until paramedics arrived and rushed the man to an area hospital. His condition was not released.  Investigators ask anyone with information on the attack to contact detectives at 508-799-8651.

Western Mass Sex Offender Gets 10 Years For Child Porn A Berkshire County registered sex offender will return to prison after admitting to having child sexual abuse material and an illegal shotgun, federal authorities said.  Brian Hohman, 60, of Sandisfield, pleaded guilty in January to one charge of possession of child pornography and one charge of receipt and possession of an unregistered firearm, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. $100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Central Mass Thursday, May 2, was a very lucky day for someone in Worcester when they claimed a $100,000 ticket in the Massachusetts State Lottery.  The winner made the money playing the "Mass Cash" game. They bought the ticket at The Store at 88 Providence Street. The winner's name was not released. The store will collect a $1,000 bonus for the sale. They correctly guessed all five numbers in the daily drawing. Those were 9, 20, 24, 27, and 34.  They were among the 534 people who won $650 or more in the state lottery.
