A serious crash with a downed utility pole and wires has resulted in the closure both ways of a stretch of Route 35 near the Somers/Yorktown border early Thursday afternoon.
The closure is between Deer Park Drive in Amawalk and Hallocks Mill Road in Yorktown and is expected to last for several hours.
