The 2010 Toyota Venza was reported stolen on the morning of Saturday, March 21.

According to police, a 63-year-old woman and her 26 year-old son said the son woke up at 5 a.m. and went out to shovel snow.

Seeing that it was still snowing, he went back inside but saw that the car was still in the garage, police said.

His mother woke up at 9 and went out at 11 a.m. to shovel off the front steps, police said. She told police that she saw the garage door was open and the car was gone, police said.

Police said the owners believe the $17,000 car was stolen sometime before 9 a.m. The key was reportedly in the vehicle but was out of sight, police said.

There were footprints in the snow leading up the driveway and to a side door on the garage, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
