Bob Outhouse is presently running for the position of Westchester County Legislator in District 9. As former Commander of the Westchester County Police Department Bomb Squad, I was Bob's immediate supervisor. Bob was a dedicated and loyal subordinate. He was also an outstanding Bomb Technician. In any assignment he was given, Bob's efforts were tireless.

Bob's education and training mostly involved bomb disarmament and post-bomb blast investigation; but, in addition, he was an arson investigator and explosive detection canine handler of the first order. Bob's bomb dog, Amy, was considered in law enforcement circles as one of the best explosive detection canines in New York.

Bob was and still is a dedicated public servant. He spent 23 years as a police officer ending his career as a highly decorated detective. Bob also has spent 38 years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of fire prevention and firematics.

Bob is a proven leader and has always served his community faithfully both while being a paid public servant and a volunteer. He was always there when the Bomb Squad needed him, faithful to the task, and could always be counted on. I cannot say enough about Bob from a personnel and professional standpoint. I know he would be an excellent County Legislator.
