Ossining Man Who Had Sex Charges Dismissed Sues Putnam Officials

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Ossining man who had charges of sexual abuse against a 10-year-old girl against him dismissed filed suit against  the Putnam County District Attorney's Office, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and  Putnam County for malicious prosecution, according to LoHud.com.

Richard Anderson, 49, was charged with first-degree rape in 2010 and claims he pleaded guilty just to get out of jail, LoHud.com reported.

When he later withdrew his plea, the assistant district attorney had the charges against him thrown out in 2011 when the alleged victim said she didn't want to endure a trial, LoHud.com said. 

The terms of the suit were not specified, according to LoHud.com.
