The arrest occurred off Charles Point in Peekskill during a joint BWI enforcement initiative being conducted on the Hudson River over the holiday weekend by the Westchester County Police Marine Unit, Rockland County Police Marine Unit and the U.S. Guard.

Raymond Breit, 50, of Clarkstown in Rockland County was charged at 10:40 p.m. after his boat was stopped by the Coast Coast Guard for a violation of navigation laws.

Westchester County Police Officers responded to the scene, boarded Breit’s boat and allegedly determined that Breit was operating the vessel under the influence of alcohol.

Breit was transported to shore and taken to Westchester County Police headquarters in Hawthorne. He was booked on the BWI charge and released pending a future court appearance in Peekskill City Court.
