Child Struck By Car In Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. -- A child was hit by a car in Ossining Thursday afternoon on South Highland Avenue near Washington Avenue and Fuller Road.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital, police said. Ossining Police declined to provide further details on the incident, which occurred around 1:30 p.m.

The northbound lane was closed for approximately an hour following the incident.
