Nancy Sullivan, 84, Ossining Native

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Nancy Sullivan, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great -grandmother peacefully on Wednesday in the Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Sullivan was born Nov. 12, 1932, in Brooklyn and grew up in Manhattan, the daughter of Louis and Elisabeth Bouxsein.

Her family moved to Ossining where she met, fell in love, and married, the love of her life, her husband, James Sullivan on Sept. 2, 1950 at St. Ann's Church. They were married for 65 wonderful years.

She graduated from Ossining High School in 1950 and she and Jim raised their five children in Ossining and then in Dannamora, NY. They moved back to Ossining for a few years and then moved to Kingsbury, NY to be near their children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents. Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Billy Bouxsein, and two grandsons, Timothy Sullivan and Brett Collins.

Left to cherish Nancy's memory is her loving husband, James Sullivan, sister Evelyn DeCuircio (Bob) of Georgia, brother Richard Bouxsein (Maureen) of Missouri, her daughter, Karen Collins and her husband, Terry of Lake George; her sons, Michael Sullivan of Glens Falls; Scott Sullivan and his wife Mary of Glens Falls; Chris Sullivan and his wife Kim of Queensbury; Jim Sullivan and his wife Rebecca of Kinderhook. Grandchildren Joe LaLuna (Mary), Chris LaLuna (Jessica), Kyle Collins (Missy), Allison Sullivan (Cody), Jessica Sullivan, Melissa Sullivan (Jack), CJ Sullivan, Brady Sullivan (Ryan), Hope Sullivan, Danika Johnson (Matt), Kevin Gilligan, Kyle Gilligan, Kristen Sullivan, Ashley Sullivan, Sarah Sullivan, Great-grandchildren Dawson LaLuna, Kayla Kasey, Kaiden LaLuna, Hailey LaLuna, Skyler Collins, Kameron Collins, Colton Collins, Allison Collins, Jakob, Connor, Lola, Josie, Ravenna, soon to be born great-great grandson Jameson, and all the children and grandchildren Nancy has adopted through the years. Her many nieces and nephews, and her close friends, who have also become family. 

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 22 at the Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at St. Mary's-St. Paul's, 11 Wall Street, Hudson Falls, NY with Reverend Paul Cox,officiating.

Immediately following the Mass, the committal service will be held at 12:30 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.

Donations in Nancy's name can go to either of her favorite charities. St. Jude's or Ronald McDonalds House. Both charities were  close to heart.
