Audrey Micklaus, 60, Of Ossining; Ran Day Care Center

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Audrey Micklas a longtime resident of Ossining died on Tuesday, Feb. 3. She was 60.

Micklas was born in New Rochelle on July 10, 1954 to Edmund and Georgiena (Montieth) Rowe.

Micklaus was a graduate of Ossining High School as well as a graduate of Phelps Nursing School.  She took great pleasure in creating Home Away From Home Daycare, which she ran out of her home for over 10 years.

She is survived by her husband Eugene;her daughter, Dawn Carter (son in-law Shawn); her son, Jeffrey; brothers, Roger (Melanie), George (Ann), Walter Rowe; and granddaughters, Melanie and Marcella Carter.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home , 14 Emwilton Place, Ossining, N.Y.. The funeral service is Saturday, at 10 a.m., at St. Paul’s-on-the-Hill Episcopal Church, 40 Ganung Drive, Ossining. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that people spend 15 minutes with your children/ grandchildren or reconnect with an old friend, as family was of the upmost importance to Micklas.
