Alfred D'Arco, World War II Veteran Lived In Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Alfred D’Arco, of Scarborough Manor in Ossining and formerly of Kew Gardens, died Feb. 2 at the FDR Veterans Home in Montrose.

D’Arco was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II with the 443rd RD A.A.A. BN (SP). He served in nine campaigns which included North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Southern France, Southern Germany, Central Europe and Austria.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Terry; his sister Evelyn; a niece and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 8 at Dorsey Funeral Home 14, Emwilton Place. The services will follow at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. The interment will take place at approximately 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at the Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville, N.Y.
