OSSINING, N.Y. – Adelino M. (Sonny, Al) Loreto, 88, of Ossining, died Friday, June 12.
He was born March 20, 1927, to Amadeo and Maria Loreto in Brooklyn. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in the Kingsbridge Section of the Bronx, and later worked for Reader's Digest in the security department.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Loreto, in 2010.
He is survived by his daughters, Phyllis and Maria Loreto, both of Ossining; his sister, Corinne Loreto of the Bronx and his brother, Anthony (Justine) Loreto of Hollywood, Fla.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
