Ossining Musician Sean McQuaid Returns To Teach Trumpet

OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts in Croton-on-Hudson, the area's fastest-growing music school, has added five music instructors this summer, including Ossining resident Sean McQuaid.

McQuaid has a Bachelor of Music from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and currently is pursuing his master’s in jazz studies at SUNY Purchase. Ossining High School remembers McQuaid as an outstanding musician and academic student.

Ossining’s School District’s Director of Fine Arts, Bradley Morrison, has followed McQuaid’s progress after his graduation and said in a press release he “has grown into a strong player at Potsdam and plays with pros from the city."

A young but experienced professional, McQuaid has studied with many great teachers, including, Ingrid Jensen, Joe Magnarelli, John Ellis, Tatum Greenblatt and Jerry Lucadamo.

He has performed with the Tappan Zee Bridgemen, Ray Blue, Crane Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Elite, among others. His expertise is in teaching young beginners, as well as experienced musicians, makes him a welcome addition to the CSPA staff.
