"It is a labor of love" said Barb Foshay, one of the admins. Admins Kim Santos, Miriam Risko and Meredith Bruckman also attended the event.

Some of the members were already friends and others were meeting for the first time, but they were all mothers that live in Ossining.

Member Terri Roman organized the event with a simple post to the page, which soon had close to 50 RSVPs.

Each mom introduced herself and shared some information about their children and their history in Ossining.

"This was a fun night out," said Fern Quezada. "Ossining has some amazing moms here doing even more amazing things for our community. It was great to be able to step out from our computers and get to know one another; I look forward to the next event!"

"This was such a wonderful night for me," said Donna Hannan. "I loved meeting women from Ossining I did not know and getting to know better women I did know. What a fabulous group of accomplished women! I look forward to many more get-togethers."

More than 1,000 members have joined the Ossining Moms Facebook page to discuss issues such as when to register for school, finding a plumber and more.
