Introduced in 2004 by grateful patients, this community driven event has grown in size and spirit, raising over $2.75 million since its inception, all of which has remained in the region to support patient programs and services of the Whittingham Cancer Center.
The event features a timed 5k run at 8:30 a.m., a 3k walk at 10:30 a.m., entertainment by DNR, Fairfield County’s (almost) all physicians rock band, health booths, and kid’s activities. Run awards will be provided in eight different age categories. Registration for this rain or shine benefit will begin at 7:30 a.m. for the run and 9:00 a.m. for the walk.
People can walk, run, create a team, join a team, make a donation or honor a loved one by purchasing a tribute sign. All donations made in support of the Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run are tax-deductible. Y
