Wind Chill Advisory Extended As Dangerous Cold Lingers Through Weekend

A Wind Chill Advisory has been extended until 8 a.m. Sunday for the area.

Saturday night's overnight low will be around zero with dangerous wind chills of 10 below zero to 20 below zero that can cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday will be sunny and cold, with a high in the upper teens and wind-chill values between -5 and -15.

Temperatures will warm up Monday with a high around the freezing mark. But skies will be cloudy with a chance of snow after 10 a.m. followed by a chance of a wintry mix of freezing rain and snow in the evening.

Temperatures will actually climb above the freezing mark on Tuesday with a high in the mid-30s under sunny skies.
