Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms Could Be Coming To Ossining

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sunny skies on Tuesday will give way to clouds and potentially heavy rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday in Westchester County, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday is expected to be a cloudy, humid days with highs in the upper 80s. The threat of potentially heavy rain and thunderstorms will also linger in the area with a 40 percent chance of rain. 

Storms and showers will become more likely on Thursday with a 70 percent chance of rain and storms and a high temperature near 88. 

Independence Day will be mostly cloudy with temperatures near 80. Chance of rain is 50 percent. 

The rainy weather forecast is partially due to Tropical Storm Arthur, which has formed off the coast of Florida.

If the storm veers west as it moves up the Northeast coast, it could have a more severe impact on the Westchester area.
