Downed Trees Close Busy Road Near New Castle/Mount Kisco Border

Motorists have been advised to avoid a busy roadway near the border of New Castle and Mount Kisco after two trees landed on utility lines.

The New Castle Police Department issued an alert on Friday afternoon warning drivers to avoid Croton Lake Road and Croton Avenue after two large trees fell and landed on live wires.

Police said the roadways are now closed and will be closed for several hours as Con Edison crews respond to the scene to assist.
