Pace Swimmers Set For Conference Championships

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams are competing in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams head to Southern Connecticut State University for four days at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships from Thursday, Feb. 5 through Sunday, Feb. 9.

The men's team was selected to finish in fifth place out of seven schools by the NE-10 swimming coaches. The team totaled 16 points in the poll with Southern Connecticut selected to win the championships with 36 points.

Similarly, the Lady Setters were picked to finish in fifth place out of nine schools by the NE-10 swimming coaches. The Lady Setters totaled 36 points in the poll with Southern Connecticut selected to win the championship with 61 points.

In other Pace athletics news, Pace basketball has announced that it will host its annual Play4Kay fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 8 as the Setters host the American International Yellow Jackets in a Northeast-10 conference contest at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

Play4Kay is a national initiative by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) across all divisions of NCAA women’s college basketball to create awareness and raise money for breast cancer research.

Pace athletics will be selling Play4Kay Pace basketball T-shirts for $5 with all proceeds going to the Kay Yow Fund.
