Ossining's Loeb To Play In National College Tennis Tourney

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining native Jamie Loeb will be playing in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships next month.

The tournament is from Nov. 7-10 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Invited are the best players in college tennis right now from about 40 universities, including Loeb, an ITA All-American Champion and freshman at North Carolina University.

The tournament is the culmination of the fall season. It features a 32-player singles draw and a 20-team doubles draw for men and women.

Gaining automatic entry into the tournament are champions from the USTA/ITA Division I Regional Championships across the country in October, winners of the USTA/ITA National Small College Super Bowl, and the consolation champions, doubles finalists, men's singles quarterfinalists and women's singles semifinalists from the ITA Men’s and Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.

Loeb won the New York State Public Schools singles title in 2010 as a sophomore.
