Saniya Chong scored 20 points and had 13 assists as Ossining defeated Harrison (Ga.), 80-64 in a KSA Girls Basketball Tournament game at Disneyworld on Thursday.
Ossining will play Thomas Edison (Va.) Friday in the final at noon.
Destini Walker finished with 17 points and Jalay Knowles added 16 as Ossining won for the second time in two games. The Pride overwhelmed Plum (Ky.) 86-48 on Wednesday.
We came out flying, said Ossining coach Dan Ricci of his teams performance against Harrison. We wanted to run on them and we wanted to wear them out with our press.
He continued, They had very good post player, who is going to Alabama. She scored 37 points, but 16 of those points came in the fourth quarter when I had my starters out of the game. Our freshman post player, Jalay Knowles, did a really great job playing her.
Ricci said Thomas Edison is big, athletic and fast and feels that the two best teams in the tournament are playing for the championship.
