The Pride put a scare into the Bears on Jan. 11, but Briarcliff pulled out a 66-59 victory over Ossining. Bears big man Brian Daniels had 32 points in that game to lead the team. Stephen Espinoza-Hunter led Ossining with 19 points.

Ossining is coming off a 68-62 win over Port Chester on Monday. The Pride has won four of its last six games behind the strength of Espinoza-Hunter’s play and the contributions of Kayvon Murray and Noah Morton.

Daniels has been the dominant force for the Bears all season and showed why in the teams’ first meeting, when he accounted for nearly half of Briarcliff’s points. While he might not produce at that level again on Wednesday, he will still likely be the key to a Bears win.

The Pride will likely have a hard time dealing with the size and post presence that Daniels brings to the court. Instead, Ossining must rely on the nucleus of the team to knock down some outside shots if it wants to leave with the win.

Briarcliff is undefeated at home this season and has only dropped two games overall, Nyack and Byram Hills.
