OSSINING, N.Y. The Hudson River Breeze 11th-grade girl's basketball team went 4-0 at a recent Amateur Athletic Union tournament.
The Breeze played in the Future Stars Girl's Basketball tournament at the Ursuline School in New Rochelle. The Breeze, featuring the Ossining girl's varsity team, defeated the C.J. Hawks, 66-52; the NYC Hawks, 72-70; Fencor, 67-29; and the Unity Wildcats, 70-60.
The Breeze are 12-2 in the AAU season, playing teams from around the country, according to coach Dan Ricci. The Breeze will play in the Coaches Choice Pre-Mother's Day Classic on Saturday at Pace University in Pleasantville.
The Breeze open with the NYC Lady Bulldogs at 12:20 p.m. and then face the Kingston Vipers at 2:30 p.m.
