Police Conclude No Threat At Briarcliff Manor School After Investigation

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – An individual spotted Wednesday morning on the hills behind Briarcliff Manor Middle School/High School prompted school officials to contact police to investigate, a message from the Briarcliff Manor school district said.

Police concluded there was no threat and that the individual who was spotted was a student who left campus without permission, the district’s message said. 

The K-9 unit worked within the high school and the grounds, and a county helicopter was dispatched to assist as a matter of standard law enforcement protocols, the district said, adding that there was no cause for alarm.
