Designed to train the next generation of programmers, developers, gamers, artists, designers, architects, environmentalists and engineers, the two-week long session allows students to experience the fast-paced world of science and technology.
Participants will work in small teams creating, designing, and implementing mobile apps based on this year’s theme of app development and the Billion Oyster Project. Students will also get a chance to work with faculty from Pace University and college-level mentors to learn about the world of cyber security and design thinking.
In addition to working on their projects, students will hear lectures from industry professionals, visit area museums and start-ups, as well as practice the social side of starting a business.
The institute will be held at the Seidenberg School of Computer Systems and Information Systems in Manhattan from July 18 to 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with final presentations being held on July 29. The application deadline is July 1.
