Melody Kuney will teach the orchestra elementary program as a substitute until Alanna Honore recovers and is ready to come back to work. Ossining School officials did not elaborate on Honore's condition.

"We would also like to thank everyone for their words of support, and well wishes for Ms. Honore at this time," school officials said. "We look forward to her recovery and return to work with our students."

The Roosevelt School elementary program is set to resume on Tuesday, Jan. 28 with rehearsals and regularly scheduled lessons during the school day, school officials said.

"At this time, to ensure that students are as prepared as possible for their concert performances, our elementary orchestra students will not perform at our scheduled winter concerts at the beginning of February," officials said. "Once we are able to determine an appropriate performance time for our students, we will relay that information as soon as possible."
