OSSINING, N.Y. - Claremont School's principal has resigned as of the end of the school year, Ossining Superintendent Ray Sanchez announced late Thursday night.
Carmen Soto intends to resign as of June 30, Sanchez told parents.
"Of course, she will continue to lead Claremont School for the remainder of the school year," Sanchez wrote in a letter to parents. "During this time, she will continue to support teachers and ensure that all students continue to succeed."
"As we have done in the past, we intend to advertise the position in the very near future as well as screen and interview qualified candidates," Sanchez wrote. "Our intent is to find an individual that will help our District to continue to strive for excellence and continue to support the good work of our teachers and staff at Claremont School."
Sanchez said he will keep parents updated throughout the process.
