"As always, the safety of our students and staff is a priority," said Superintendent Raymond Sanchez, who said the decision to station an officer at each school during dismissal was "precautionary."

Sanchez, who said authorities do not believe there is any cause for concern, said school officials and police have and will continue to full investigate all threats facing the district.

"If there are any threats against our schools, we will immediately investigate," he said.

Ossining's creepy clown incidents are among the latest in a national craze.

Locally, similar incidents have been reported in Putnam and Dutchess counties as well as elsewhere in Westchester County like Yonkers and Valhalla.
