According to director Jessica Beattie and assistant director Adam Schoenbart, the play is based on a Commedia dell'Arte play with a contemporary twist. The play is written by author/playwright Hillary DePiano from a scenario by 18th-century Italian playwright Carlo Gozzi, and the cast includes 25 players.

"As an ensemble, we have had a blast improvising and creatively exploring original scenes and theatrical moments throughout the show," Beattie said following dress rehearsal on Wednesday, Oct. 22. "Please come and show your support."

"The Love of Three Oranges" runs about 90 minutes plus a 15-minute intermission.

Admission is free, and donations to the drama club are welcome."
