David Greco, owner of Mike’s Deli on Arthur Avenue, is a regular on many cooking shows on the Food Network.

He has faced off against celebrity Iron Chef Bobby Flay in an eggplant parmigiana “throwdown.”

He is the father of Todd Elementary student Gulian Greco.

David Greco showed students how to make fresh mozzarella cheese.

Students sampled several types of mozzarella, along with a special Italian sauce and gnocchi.

After the demonstration and sampling session, Greco gave each student a cannoli dessert.

“The students really enjoyed tasting the delicious food Mr. Greco prepared,” Kusum Sinha, assistant superintendent of the Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District, said in a press release.
