Officials with the Ossining School District said Wednesday morning that "due to high winds, two AMD roof vent units are lifting from a section of the AMD roof and creating safety issues," according to a news release.

The district announced it would begin dismissing all students at the middle school at 11:40 a.m. Officials said those walking would be bused to Claremont Elementary and dismissed from that location.

"We are currently in the process of having a roofer determine the long-term implications," officials said in the release. "We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide you with additional information about our next steps, including whether AMD will be open tomorrow."

All AMD after-school activities are canceled today.
