OSSINING, N.Y. -- Crews are set to remove some asbestos floor tiles at Ossining's AMD Middle School over the winter break.
Superintendent of Schools Raymond Sanchez announced in a letter to parents that the removal of the tiles is set to take place over the February break.
"The work should only take one day and all required protocols will be maintained including air monitoring," Sanchez said in the letter. "The building is being posted as an informational procedure as required by the New York State Department of Labor. All other abatement removals for this phase will occur during the summer period."
