Cookie Monster Spotted Outside Longford's In Rye

RYE, N.Y. -- Cookie Monster was dancing outside of Longford’s Ice Cream Parlor on Elm Street Thursday, celebrating the last full week of school for Rye children.

“It is an annual celebration,” according to the owner Christine Vita. "We like to give back to the community.”

Local Rye children were getting their faces painted outside the store.

One of Longford’s popular ice cream flavors is called Cookie Monster. It is made with vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips and is the color blue.
