Putnam County Resident’s Request To Ban Hunting Denied

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – A proposal by a Brewster resident requesting Putnam County explore prohibiting hunting was turned down Monday, Nov. 9 during a Protective Services Committee meeting, reports the Examiner.

Resident Paul Saloon, concerned about hunting happening near his home on Ridgetop Lane, said in a letter to the county Legislature that hunting with shotguns and firing weapons in Putnam County should be banned, according to the report.
