Murphy was born in Danbury, daughter of Joseph and Teresa Barchi.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary T. and Patricia A. Murphy of Danbury, and Irene R. Morrison (Allen) of Milford, Conn.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence; brothers Charles, Joseph, Francis, John and William Barchi; and sisters Rose Helgert, Emma Acquario and Angie Lendaro.
Calling hours are Friday, March 9, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, at St. Peter Church Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
