Sixty Percent of Pace Athletes Make Honor Roll

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Northeast-10 Conference named 60 percent of Pace University student-athletes to its fall 2011 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Pace tied for the fourth-highest percentage in the conference as 173 students earned at least a 3.0 GPA.

Five student-athletes, including two graduate students, recorded a 4.0 GPA in the fall. Men’s basketball player Kevin Clark and men’s tennis player Vinnie Birkenmeyer were two of the players.

Senior women’s basketball player Carol Johnson, junior women’s soccer and track and field player Seanna Wright and sophomore baseball player Alexander Rough each earned perfect GPAs in the fall semester.

Seventy-five of the 173 athletes earned between a 3.5 and a 3.99 GPA, while 93 athletes accumulated a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

Pace earned a 17 percent increase in students on the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll from the spring 2011 semester, in which 148 athletes made the list and six earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Sixty athletes recorded a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99 and 82 earned between a 3.0 and a 3.49 in the spring 2011 semester.
