SOMERS, N.Y. -- It was after midnight on Friday, August 12 and some local teenage friends were walking on Route 202 near the entrance to The Willows Townhouses, when one of them was accidentally clipped by a passing delivery truck. According to Somers State Police, the friends took Raquel Tisi, 18, to the hospital to be treated and the police were informed of the incident some time later.
Police told The Daily Somers the driver of the truck has been located. The victims condition is unknown but does not appear to be serious.
Tisi is a 2011 graduate of Somers High School and will be attending Towson University in the fall.
