The bumps are back. As of Wednesday, faculty, students and parents are driving more slowly in the Staples High School parking lot. "The speedbumps were removed during the winter because of the snow," said Assistant Superintendent Richard Franzis. "They make it difficult to plow the parking lot." The speedbumps were installed to slow down traffic and protect students . "If you see this parking lot in the morning you'll understand," says Franzis. "When students cross from the student to the faculty lot they sometimes dart out between two cars. The bumps remind everyone to slow down."
