John Cheever's Former Home For Sale In Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Afterwhiles, the home where John Cheever died in 1982 and his widow, Mary, died in 2014, is on the market in Ossining, according to lohud.com.

Susan Cheever is the daughter of John and Mary Cheever and she and brother, Ben put the house on the market.

The five-acre property is off Route 9A and is listed as 197 Cedar Lane. At 2,688 square feet, it was listed at $525,000 by the couples children. Ben and Susan, in 2014 but didn't sell.

Originally built in 1795, it is currently being shopped for $340,000, according to lohud.com.
