Former Governor Calls Donald Trump A 'Total Con Artist'

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Billionaire Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who owns an estate in Bedford, is nothing more than a "total con artist," says former Connecticut Gov. Lowell Weicker, according to a report in the Stamford, Conn., Advocate.

Weicker said the fact that Trump, who once called Weicker "a fat slob," is leading in many polls indicates serious problems with the rest of the Republican candidates, the Advocate reports. 

Weicker, who also served Connecticut in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, clashed with Trump in 1993 over a proposed casino expansion, according to the Advocate.
