Saveon Green of Albany was injured when his car struck a tree around 5 a.m. just south of Jackson Corners Road in Milan, becoming entrapped, said state police.

Milan and Pine Plains fire departments were on the scene and extricated Green from the vehicle, said Trooper Melissa McMorris, spokeswoman with the NYSP.

Green was airlifted by Lifenet to Albany Medical Center, she added.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Speed may have been a contributing factor, McMorris added.
