Police Seeking Suspect In Attempted Millwood Bank Robbery

MILLWOOD, N.Y. -- New Castle Police are looking for a suspect in connection with Tuesday's attempted robbery of a Chase bank branch in Millwood.

The attempted robbery occurred at around 11:27 a.m., police said. The suspect, who is a male, demanded money from the bank, although a teller refused to comply before he left. 

No weapons were displayed during the robbery attempt and nobody was injured, police added.

Police said the suspect was described as around 6-feet fall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. The suspect was wearing aviator sunglasses and a hoodie that was "pulled tightly shut," police said. 

The suspect was last seen traveling on Route 100 in the southbound direction in what is believed to be a dark-blue 2007 Audi A4.
