Ossining Woman Charged With Stealing Children's Clothes From JV Mall

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A 37-year-old Ossining woman is facing a larceny charge after Yorktown police said store security at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown told them she tried to leave the store without paying for about $266 worth of children's clothes, police said.

Enma Lucia Macancela-Zhumi, of Denny Street in Ossining, was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny, and was released on $200 bail, police said. She is due in court at 6 p.m. Aug. 2 in Yorktown, police said.

Officers were called to the store at about noon Thursday, police said. Sears security reported they stopped Macancela-Zhumi after she tried to leave the store without paying for some clothes, police said.
