Ossining Resident Charged In Yorktown With Stealing Money From Bank Account

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A man from Ossining was charged with identity theft and two counts of grand larceny on Oct. 29, according to Yorktown police.

On Oct. 21, a representative of the Wells Fargo Bank on East Main Street in Shrub Oak reported the theft of funds from a customer's account, Yorktown police report.

Following an investigation by Yorktown police, it was alleged that Jamile O. Dixon, an employee of the bank, used the identity of an account holder to steal $16,700 from the customer's savings account between July 31and Aug. 31, officials report.

On Oct. 29, Dixon voluntarily appeared at police headquarters and was placed under arrest, according to Yorktown police.

Dixon was processed and released on $500 bail; he is scheduled to answer the charges against him in Yorktown Court on Nov. 11, officials report.
