Ossining Man Indicted On Drug Trafficking Charges

OSSINING, N.Y. -- An Ossining man was indicted after an investigation of drug trafficking linking Puerto Rico to several cities in the Northeast, according to an announcement by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Vincente Alvarez-Medina, 25, was among 41 people indicted. Alvarez-Medina was indicted on three charges, including first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

The indictments were announced Wednesday when Schneiderman said “Operation Horseback” helped snap two major narcotics pipelines that brought heroin and cocaine into New York.

Alvarez-Medina sold more than two ounces of cocaine to three other members of the ring in May of this year and the sale allegedly occurred in the town of Cortlandt, occurred to LoHud.com.
