Luis Munoz was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, a felony, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

New York State Police said Munoz was driving on the New York State Thruway in Woodbury around 1 a.m. on Sunday when he struck a motorcycle being driving by 23-year-old Valley Stream resident Rafaelito DeJesus.

DeJesus and his passenger, 25-year-old Mineola resident Melissa Rupa were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Munoz was arraigned on $250,000 cash bail or $1 million bond. He was taken to the Orange County Jail.
