Man Stopped For Speeding On I-287 Had BAC Twice Legal Limit

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 31-year-old Stamford man pulled over for speeding and other traffic violations had a blood-alcohol limit twice the legal limit, state police said.

Grele Edouard was found to be intoxicated after the stop in White Plains at approximately 10:26 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, state police said. 

Edouard was transported and processed at State Police barracks in Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21 percent. 

He was subsequently charged with:aggravated driving while intoxicated; an unclassified misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Edouard was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of White Plains Court on June 1.
