Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to the Yorktown Grille on Downing Drive shortly after 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, where there were reports of a fight between two patrons.
Upon arrival, police said that officers met with one party, who had sustained injuries from being punched in the face by another patron. They were then able to track down the man - whose name was not disclosed by police, though he is a resident of Lyons Falls - in the parking lot and he was placed under arrested and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
Following arraignment at Yorktown Justice Court, the man was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on Tuesday to answer the assault charge.
