Man Busted Stealing $1,800 Package Posing As FedEx Employee In Westchester

A 25-year-old is facing multiple charges after posing as a FedEx employee and getting caught in the act attempting to steal a package worth nearly $2,000 in Westchester.

Bronxville Police officers confronted Bronx resident Andrew Wright at the door of a Hamilton Avenue home on Nov. 15 as he was posing as a FedEx employee, dressed in a FedEx hat and jacket, police said.

Wright was allegedly attempting to steal a package from the residence with a value of $1,800 when he was apprehended, police noted.

Wright was arrested and charged with attempted grand larceny and criminal impersonation. He was released on $500 bail and is due back in Bronxville Village Court on Dec. 6 to answer the charges.
